Working in the horticulture industry, dragging hoses on hot gravel – all day long – on every hot day – we are something of hose connoisseurs. We started with a single hose this spring to test out and staff loved it so much we now have multiple in use around the property. They are FAR more lightweight than normal hoses, by a significant degree, and they do not kink unless you’re intentionally trying very hard to make that happen (it was an experiment – under normal usage they do not kink). The only quirk we’ve found is that it’s easier to roll them up when not in use when they still have pressure inside, but since they are so lightweight, this is much easier to do than with a normal hose.

We are so delighted with these that we carry them in our Garden Shop in 25’, 50’, and 100’ sizes. Multiple staff members have switched over to using these in their home gardens.

While we do not ever recommend driving over your hoses, it is something that happens here with our Gators, and these hoses remain unfazed by that kind of treatment.

  • According to the manufacturer these hoses do not contain any heavy metals, lead, phthalate, or PVC.
  • Multiple hoses can be connected together. As with all hoses chained together, expect the water pressure to drop the more hoses you add.
  • The manufacturer recommends storing these hoses in a shady or protected location, in order to extend hose life.
  • These hoses can handle outdoor temperatures up to 160°F, and water temperatures up to 100°F.
  • In winter, treat like any other hose – drain all the water out and store indoors.
