According to Susan “My interest in starting plants from seed began when my husband, Joe, and I had our first garden in Eastern NC. We grew beans, corn, radishes, and other vegetables from seed in Zone 8, where the weather warms early in spring.
I enjoy sowing seeds and then watching them emerge from the soil, get their first true leaves, and then grow a strong enough root system to transplant into larger containers. Eventually those go out into the great outdoors to produce food or flowers!”
