10:00 am – Noon
With Athena Anderson
Meet our Local Pollinators! Learn about pollination and pollinators overall, as well as the most common pollinators in Western North Carolina. These topics are followed by a discussion of conservation concerns and simple steps you can take to help pollinators. The session wraps up with the fascinating concept of pollination syndromes and how you can use these deeper connections to participate in pollinator conservation. Time permitting, we will go outside and explore which pollinators are visiting Reems Creek Nursery’s certified pollinator garden.
Don’t worry – this presentation is designed for adults of the general public and assumes no prior knowledge of pollinators.
One garden at a time, every little bit of habitat we create makes our world a better place.
