Join us on Saturday, Sept. 28 from 1-3 pm for refreshments and to celebrate our 40th year in business. From our 1979 start in Wilma & Bill Penland’s front yard to our current Garden Center…it has been an exciting run. Huge appreciation goes out to all the folks who have supported our family-owned business during the last 40 years and a big welcome to our esteemed new customers! 2 pm – Pollinator Garden Dedication to Gerri
Please gather with us to honor Gerri Neville Cole in a heartfelt dedication of our Pollinator Garden to this very special person who recently passed away.
Gerri Neville Cole, a devoted long-time employee of Reems Creek Nursery, was cherished by all of us. She worked for Reems Creek Nursery from 1985 to 2013 and was a walking encyclopedia of plant knowledge. Many staff members were mentored by Gerri.
The potting shed where she grew an abundant supply of flowers and vegetables was located exactly where the Pollinator Garden now sits. Wilma came up with the beautiful idea of dedicating our Pollinator Garden to “Miss Gerri”. This special spot will be “coming up flowers” in honor of Gerri for decades to come.
