Valentine fun with your sweetheart, your kids, your bestie, or give yourself a Valentine! Build a dreamy terrarium from start to finish with guidance from Kira and Cristi.
Have a great time and let your imagination run wild! Kira and Cristi will guide you through the terrarium-building process, step by step, from start to finish including terrarium after-care. Create an enchanting terrarium in a stylish container using three 2” terrarium plants, a variety of mosses, rocks & pebbles, soil, Valentine flourishes, and other materials. All materials for one terrarium are included in your workshop fee + lots of fun!
All ages welcome! Children should be accompanied by an adult.
About Kira Hammonds: Being raised on a small farm in Western North Carolina, Kira has always had an affinity for plants and being outdoors. Kira joined the Reems Creek Nursery Crew in May of 2020, and has worked her way up to the current Tropical, Annual, Vegetable and Aquatic Plant Coordinator. Kira also hand crafts all of the terrariums we have for sale in our garden shop! Kira graduated from the University of North Carolina at Asheville with a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science and continues to be a lifetime learner. Kira enjoys spending her days with her Fiancé, Matt on their small farm tending to their flock of chickens and ducks.
About Cristi Bloch: Cristi is a WNC/Asheville native. She has lived all over the USA – from Texas to Connecticut to Georgia and finally back home to WNC. Cristi loves all things plants! Along with spending time with her family, she enjoys learning about new gardening topics, cooking, and crafting. She is busy designing the brand-new plantings at her new house in the red clay mud! You’ll find Cristi all over the place here at Reems Creek Nursery. She’s part of the customer service team, she helps out with classes, and loves doing kids’ garden crafts. She is a joy to be around!
