In her book Devotion, Dairy of an Appalachian Garden, published in 2021, Mignon Durham takes us on her “joyous adventure” of transforming her once neglected overgrown property into an oasis she calls Devotion.
Join us on Sat, Nov. 20 from 2-4 for an opportunity to meet Mignon and get your book personally signed by the author. Books will be available for purchase during the event.
Mignon Durham is a self-taught gardener and a native North Carolinian. As a former Chairman of the Board for Penland School of Craft, she has been collecting art for more than 35 years. The lessons shared in this book will help gardeners of every age find success. Hundreds of photographs will offer inspiration to gardeners and garden designers alike.
Mignon has been featured on HGTV and in Our State Magazine, the New York Times, Carolina Home+Garden, American Style, North Carolina’s Taste-Full. The Laurel of Asheville, and Mountain Homes Southern Style.
This event occurs during our annual Holiday Open House. Join us for all the Open House festivities on Sat, Nov. 20 including refreshments and door prizes every half hour.
