Grow your own transplants! Our workshop will demonstrate successful seed starting methods – including tips on appropriate soil, temperature, lighting, watering, timing, and more. These techniques work for both vegetables and flowers and will help new and experienced gardeners.
Free, but must pre-register.

Susan is the daughter of Reems Creek Nursery founders Bill & Wilma Penland. Also an NC State Horticultural Science pupil, Susan has grown many perennials and vegetable starts. She recently began her own greenhouse business to grow plants for Reems Creek Nursery.
Dave Penland is the son of Reems Creek Nursery founders Bill & Wilma Penland. A graduate of NC State, Dave has experience in greenhouse production, is a licensed landscape contractor and has even taught high school horticulture. He currently serves as our president and green goods manager.
