Stacia PayneAbout Stacia Payne: Stacia Payne relocated to Asheville in 2021 after managing a retail garden center in Carrboro, North Carolina. During her years in the horticultural industry, she developed a passion for native plants and completed the Native Plant Studies Certificate Program at the North Carolina Botanical Garden. Since then, she has been dedicated to promoting native plants and creating habitat for pollinators.

After moving to Western North Carolina, Stacia became an Extension Master Gardener℠ Volunteer in Buncombe County, where she enjoys educating the public about the vital role native plants play in supporting wildlife and healthy ecosystems. She also found a home with Bee City USA-Asheville, where she serves on the leadership board, advocating for native plant landscapes and pollinator habitat conservation. Through education and community engagement, Stacia encourages others to plant for the future—creating healthier habitats for pollinators, wildlife, and people alike.
